Ühel paeval rääkisime sõbraga filmidest ja ta soovitas just seda näha. Siis hakkasin mõtlema, et kurat hea bändi nimi tuleb. Pärast leidsin tähendust urbandictionary'st. Kõlab päris thrashy.

1. List the band’s line-up.

Eduard - guitar, Arn - bass, Kevin - vocals, Sergey - guitar, Henri - drums

2. Who started the band?

The idea to play old school thrash metal originally belonged to Ed. Subsequently, he offered Serjio to join him. Later, to an ad “play thrash like Exodus” responded Arn, who played in several local bands before. Kevin, the vocalist/bassist of the band Paean, a talented musician and our friend, offer to take the place of a frontman, and we gladly accepted it. The last to join the band was the young and snappy Henri. We weren’t able to find a suitable drummer for a long time. And then one day after seeing him play live, we immediately decided to offer him to join.

3. Where does the band name come from?

Arn: In American English slang, the word "hesher" describes a person who is "stuck in the '80s." He is probably long-haired, wears torn jeans, a leather or denim jacket full of band patches and listens to corresponding music. This image is well-depicted in a self-titled film shot in 2010 which my friend recommended me, and after watching it I started searching for the meaning behind the word.

4. Are all of the band members old school thrash metal fans?

Not exactly. Ed, Arn, Sergey - yes. Kevin is more into death and progressive styles and Henri likes hardcore punk. But our tastes are not limited.

5. Where and how did your debut performance happen?

Rockstar's club, May 4th 2012. This show was organized by ourselves on the occasion of Eddy’s birthday. We invited our friend-bands (Estoner, Cryptica, Paean) and did an awesome gig. This date is considered to be the band’s birthday.

6. Any other shows in the near future?

Already this week, May 25th at Rockstar's club, along with the Un-Real and Cantilena we support the band Avgust from Russia. Also, recently our participation at the annual festival Peipsi Rock Fest in Kallaste has been confirmed. As for the next month, we plan to update our live set, since it’s kinda short.

For better or worse nothing stays for ever, so consequently some changes had to be made. The previous year, marked the birth of Hesher and with it we were blessed with an opportunity to enjoy playing the music we love. So getting to the part about the changes, that had been made during the past month or so, Henri Mäll decided to leave the band, because the music we are playing isn’t quite his cup of tea, we tried to make it work somehow, but due to many different reasons we had to let go of him. We respect his decision and wish him great success with all the projects he’s involved, so if you have the time check out his two main bands We Rise Again and Sociasylum.

At the same time new songs are being created and older songs are being updated and all of this leads up to visiting the studio in the middle of March to record our EP. Magnus Kokk(Paean, Syrcity, Nuclear Monarch) was kind enough to help us out and temporarily joined our ranks as a drummer to help us record the EP and give a few concerts till we find a dedicated full-time drummer. So with that being said we are looking for a solid and diverse drummer who would be capable to pull off the drumming on the upcoming EP.

Kuna ma olen laisk ja ei viitsi igasse keelde seda postitust tõlkida, siis võtan lühidalt kokku. Meie trummar Henri Mäll lahkus bändist ja Magnus Kokk(Paean, Syrcity, Nuclear Monarch) tuli ajutiselt meid välja aitama. Märtsi teisel poolel läheme stuudiosse EP'd salvestama.

No nii, trummid on nüüdseks tehtud.
