Rhythmical movement meets melody. Melody lines meet within deep emotional conversation between musicians. Music witnesses itself, having three minds converged in one. Free space is left for free improvisation in original tunes led by high intuition. Musicians' oneness brings deep colours, full sounds and spiritual jorney to revelation. Trio - it’s a concept which basicly gives each personality a chance to influence the music in the ensemble. TRIO compositions contain swing, funk , oldschool, world, and rock rhythmics. That is why the style of TRIO is hard to classify. Also because this project is not based on commercial influences. Music authors call it radical invitation for Latvian, Baltic states, European and world music today.
Deniss’s own country has highly evaluated his investment in music in general, not only in Jazz, choosing him and his band Riga Groove Electro to represent Latvia in 11 Baltic Sea countries, in the Balticness Project (2007-2008), during which he performed in the best concert halls of those countries. The culmination of this project was the Gala Concert, where Deniss and participants from other countries performed in front of 11 prime ministers and the President of Latvia VRepublic aldis Zatlers. The State has expressed its gratitude to Deniss by issuing him a certificate of honor for “Strengthening the Republic of Latvia”.
